Three’s Company!

It’s primary season again as we begin trying to determine who will ultimately represent us in the coming 2023 MT Legislative session. Cindy Johnson from Missoula Republican Women will be hosting the meeting tonight, joined by three candidates who are seeking to represent us in the Montana Senate and House of Representatives.

Brad Tschida has served as a State Representative for four consecutive terms as a State Representative and is now running for the Montana Senate seat in SD40. We all know Brad and his work in the Montana House.

Filing to take Brad’s vacated seat in HD97, Lynn Hellegaard (past City Councilwoman in Missoula) will speak and tell us how she will continue to work for Missoulians and all Montanans in the Montana House. Lyn has a great knowledge of this town, its history and current political climate.

Finally, we introduce someone completely new to the political scene, but someone many of us may already know. Rebecca Mapston is running for the HD94 seat representing Montanans from Frenchtown north to Arlee. If you are a Montana rodeo fan you’ll know Rebecca as a competition barrel racer as well as the current Mrs. Rodeo Montana.

This is an opportunity to listen to three outstanding candidates, all of whom have previously served this state in different capacities, and want your vote to do it again!
